The Coalition for Responsible Energy Development in New Brunswick (CRED-NB) is fighting for a renewable energy future without fossil fuels or nuclear energy on our electricity grid.
CRED-NB supports the Save Lorneville group fighting to keep a proposed fossil gas power plant and AI data centre out of their community west of Saint John. Burning fossil fuels is the main contributor to the climate crisis, and climate scientists urge us to not build new gas plants. The AI data centre will have additional environmental impacts, such as straining water resources. The local community does not want this project!
